Ingredients

  • 2 c. chicken broth
  • 1 c. pasta style tomatoes
  • 2 Tbsp. cornstarch
  • 3 Tbsp. cold water
  • angel hair pasta
  • 1/2 tsp. sweet basil
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 tsp. freshly ground pepper

Method

  • Heat chicken broth in a medium saucepan. Add tomatoes and bring to a boil.
  • Add seasonings.
  • Mix cornstarch with water and add to boiling sauce to reach desired thickness.
  • Cook angel hair pasta according to package directions.
  • Drain but do not rinse. Serve with sauce.
  • Cooked meatballs may also be added to the sauce, if desired.
