Ingredients

  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 1-1/2 cup onion, chopped
  • 1 cup green and red pepper, chopped
  • 3/4 cup celery, chopped
  • 1 tsp. basil
  • 1 tsp. oregano
  • 1 can (14 oz.) crushed tomatoes
  • 1 can (14 oz.) tomato puree
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1-1/2 tsp. onion powder
  • 3/4 lb. elbow macaroni, cooked

Method

  • Brown ground beef in a large pan.
  • Add the onions, celery, and peppers and saute.
  • Drain off the fat.
  • Add puree and crushed tomatoes, basil, oregano, salt and pepper.
  • Simmer for 15 minutes.
  • Add cooked elbow macaroni and heat through.
