Ingredients

  • 2 x skinless, boneless chicken breast halves cut into bite size pcs
  • 1 tsp grnd ginger
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 Tbsp. onion pwdr
  • 2 Tbsp. garlic salt
  • 3 Tbsp. cider vinegar
  • 1 c. ketchup
  • 1/4 c. soy sauce
  • 1 x (20 oz) can crushed pineapple with juice
  • 1/4 c. packed brown sugar

Method

  • 1 Preheat oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C).
  • 2 Arrange chicken pcs in a single layer in a well greased 9 x 13 inch baking dish.
  • In a small bowl mix together the ginger, paprika, onion pwdr and garlic salt.
  • Add in the vinegar and mix well.
  • Divide this mix.
  • Brush 1/2 over the chicken pcs and bake in the preheated oven for 15 min.
  • 3 Turn the chicken pcs, baste with the remaining 1/2 of the vinegar mix and bake for 15 min longer.
  • Meanwhile, in a medium bowl combine the ketchup, soy sauce, pineapple and brown sugar.
  • When chicken baking time is up, spoon the pineapple/soy mix over the chicken.
  • Bake for another 30 min.
  • Serve while still warm.
