Ingredients

  • 1 c. shortening
  • 1 c. white sugar
  • 1 c. brown sugar
  • 2 eggs, well beaten
  • 1 c. drained crushed pineapple
  • 4 c. flour
  • 1/2 tsp. baking soda
  • 2 tsp. baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 c. chopped nuts
  • 1 tsp. vanilla

Method

  • Cream shortening with sugar.
  • Add eggs, pineapple and flavoring.
  • Beat thoroughly.
  • Sift flour with baking powder, baking soda and salt.
  • Add nuts to flour mixture.
  • Add dry ingredients to creamed mixture.
  • Mix thoroughly.
  • Drop by teaspoonfuls on well-greased cookie sheet.
  • Bake at 350° for 12 to 15 minutes.
