Ingredients
- 8 slices bacon, diced
- 2/3 c. onion, chopped
- 1 clove garlic, chopped
- 2 (16 oz.) cans pork and beans
- 1/3 c. brown sugar
- 3 Tbsp. dry mustard
- 1/4 c. Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tsp. Creole seasoning or 1 tsp. salt, black and red pepper
Method
- Place bacon, onion, bell pepper and garlic in 7 x 11-inch glass baking dish.
- Cover with wax paper.
- Microwave on High (100%) 5 minutes.
- Stir in beans, brown sugar, mustard, Worcestershire sauce and Creole seasoning.
- Cover with wax paper. Microwave on High (100%) 20 minutes, stirring at 10 minutes. Continue to microwave on High (100%) 5 minutes, stirring at 2 minutes.
- Let stand, covered, 5 minutes before serving.
- Cooking time is 30 minutes.
- Makes 6 servings.
