Ingredients

  • 1 Tbsp. Unflavored gelatin
  • 1/4 c. Cool water
  • 1 1/2 c. Sugar
  • 1 c. Vinegar
  • 1/4 tsp Pepper
  • 1/2 c. Salad oil
  • 8 c. Shredded cabbage
  • 2 med Green peppers, minced
  • 2 x Carrots, shredded
  • 1 med Onion, shredded
  • 1 1/2 tsp Celery seed
  • 1/2 tsp Salt

Method

  • Soften the gelatin in cool water.
  • Heat sugar and vinegar till sugar dissolves, cold.
  • Add in celery seed, salt and pepper.
  • Combine gelatin and vinegar mix, cold till the thickness of cream.
  • Beat in salad oil.
  • In large bowl combine cabbage, green pepper, carrots, and onion.
  • Add in sufficient of the dressing to moisten.
  • Chill 24 hour or possibly up to several days.
