Ingredients

  • 3 1/2 c. warm water
  • 4 Tbsp. yeast
  • 1 1/2 c. milk
  • 3/4 c. oil
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 c. sugar
  • 2 Tbsp. salt
  • 5 lb. flour plain all-purpose

Method

  • Mix yeast, warm water and sugar; let yeast dissolve.
  • Stir to mix.
  • Add milk, oil and eggs (beat first); mix well.
  • Add 1/2 flour and salt; mix well.
  • Add enough flour to make a dough not real stiff.
  • Let rise for 1 hour or until double in bulk.
  • Punch down.
  • Knead in extra flour if needed.
  • Roll out and cut into rolls or pinch in muffin pans.
  • Let rise again for about 1 hour or until double in size.
  • Bake at 350° until golden brown.
