Ingredients

  • 1 pkg. wonton skins
  • 1 lb. chop meat
  • 4 scallions, minced
  • 8 water chestnuts, minced
  • 2 c. spinach (cover with boiling water for 1 minute, drain and mince)
  • 1 small onion, minced
  • 3 Tbsp. soy sauce
  • 1 Tbsp. cornstarch
  • 1 egg, beaten (on side)

Method

  • Mix together all ingredients except wonton skins and egg. Take each wonton skin, coat all 4 edges with egg.
  • In center put about teaspoon filling.
  • Fold over in triangle, sealing all edges, take both ends, dabbing one end with egg and fold together forming a "crown" or wonton.
  • Make sure meat filling is firmly sealed within.
