Ingredients
- 8 slices bread, crusts removed
- 1 c. grated sharp cheese
- 1 (13 oz.) can evaporated milk
- 1 c. grated Swiss cheese
- 1 1/2 c. regular milk
- 4 slightly beaten eggs
- 1 lb. ham or sausage
- 1 tsp. prepared mustard
- salt and pepper to taste
- nutmeg to taste
- Worcestershire to taste
- 1 small can mushrooms (optional)
Method
- Arrange bread in 9 x 13-inch greased pan.
- Layer cooked sausage (fried) or ham and mushrooms over bread.
- Add layer of cheeses.
- Combine eggs and seasonings, mixing thoroughly.
- Pour over layered ingredients.
- Cover and refrigerate overnight.
