Ingredients
- 4 c. whole wheat flour
- 1 qt. very hot tap water
- 1 c. brown sugar
- 1/2 c. vegetable or corn oil
- 4 c. white flour
- 1 Tbsp. salt
- 1 pkg. yeast
Method
- Mix water, salt, sugar and
- yeast and set aside for 10 minutes.
- Add both flours
- and oil to mixture and stir together. Let rise about 1
- hour.
- Stir
- and let rise again.
- Stir once more.
- Divide dough
- into
- half.
- Place
- in
- greased loaf pans. Let rise until top of
- pan.
- Bake
- at 350° for 40 to 45 minutes. Makes 2 loaves.
