Ingredients
- 1/2 lb. butter
- 1 1/2 c. sugar
- 2 1/2 c. plain flour
- 1/2 c. sherry, rum or pineapple juice
- 1/2 tsp. lemon juice
- 1/2 tsp. vanilla
- 1 1/4 lb. candied cherries
- 1 1/4 lb. candied pineapple
- 1 lb. nuts
- 7 eggs
Method
- Cream butter and sugar.
- Add eggs.
- Save 1 cup of flour to coat
- fruit and nuts in.
- Mix rest of ingredients. Bake at 250° for 5 hours with pan of water under cake.
