Ingredients

  • 1 c. margarine
  • 1 c. granulated sugar
  • 1 c. brown sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 c. shredded coconut
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 2 c. flour
  • 1 tsp. baking soda
  • 1 tsp. baking powder
  • 2 c. Wheaties
  • 1/2 c. chopped nuts (if desired)

Method

  • Cream margarine.
  • Add sugars gradually and cream well.
  • Add eggs and vanilla; mix together.
  • Add coconut and the dry ingredients, which have been sifted together.
  • Add Wheaties and nuts last.
  • Fold into batter.
  • Drop by teaspoonfuls on ungreased cookie sheet.
  • Bake for about 10 minutes at 350° or until lightly browned.
