Ingredients
- 1 baked pie shell
- 3/4 c. sugar
- 3 Tbsp. cornstarch
- 3 egg yolks
- 2 1/2 c. canned milk (evaporated)
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1/2 to 3/4 c. peanut butter (adjust to taste)
Method
- Combine sugar and cornstarch in heavy pan.
- Combine egg yolks and milk and gradually add to dry mixture, stirring well to prevent lumps.
- Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly until thickened.
- Boil for 1 minute.
- Remove from heat and stir in vanilla and peanut butter.
- Cool slightly.
- Then pour into baked pie shell.
