Ingredients

  • 1 c. corn syrup
  • 3 eggs, slightly beaten
  • 1/8 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 2 Tbsp. melted margarine
  • 1 c. pecans, halves or chopped
  • 1 unbaked 9-inch pie shell

Method

  • Mix filling ingredients together, adding nuts last.
  • Pour into unbaked shell.
  • Bake at 400° for 15 minutes, then at 350° for 30 to 35 minutes longer.
  • When pie is done, outer edge of filling is set and center is slightly soft.
  • When cool, serve plain, or topped with whipped cream or ice cream.
