Ingredients
- 1/4 c. butter or margarine
- 1 1/4 c. sifted cake flour
- 1 1/4 c. brown sugar, firmly packed
- 2 eggs
- 1/2 tsp. baking powder
- 1 tsp. vanilla extract
- 1 1/2 c. shredded coconut
- 1 c. chopped walnut meats
Method
- With a pastry blender or two knives, cut the butter or margarine into 1 cup of the flour and 1/4 cup of the brown sugar, until mixture is the consistency of coarse cornmeal, as in pie crust.
- Pat this mixture firmly into an ungreased 8 x 8 x 2-inch baking pan and bake in moderate oven, 350°, for 15 minutes or until lightly browned.
