Ingredients
- 1 c. shredded extra sharp Cheddar cheese
- 4 Tbsp. butter/margarine, softened
- 1/2 c. unsifted all-purpose flour
- pinch of cayenne pepper
Method
- In mixing bowl, combine butter and cheese with a fork, then blend in flour and pepper by hand.
- Roll mixture into 1-inch balls.
- Place on buttered 15 1/2 x 10 1/2-inch baking pan and flatten with heel of your hand until balls are about 1/4-inch thick.
- Bake in preheated 350° oven uncovered for 12 to 15 minutes or until golden brown and crisp.
- Cool on rack.
- Makes 12 wafers.
