Ingredients

  • 2 cups white flour
  • 2 teaspoons corn flour
  • 2 teaspoons oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup water
  • 1/2 cup cauliflower chopped
  • 1/2 cup potato chopped
  • 2 teaspoons nut fried ground
  • 1/2 teaspoon cumin seeds whole, jeera
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon ginger paste
  • 1 teaspoon cumin powder
  • salt to taste
  • 3 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1 cup oil for frying

Method

  • Mix all the ingredients the white flour, corn flour, oil, salt and water to make a soft dough. Cover and set aside.
  • Pour the 3 tablespoons of oil in a pan over heat. Add the whole jeera, cauliflower, potato, fried ground nut, and spices and fry well. Cover the pan above low heat, up to 10 minutes.
  • Form the dough into a ball, flatten, and roll out into a circle. Cut it into two equal pieces. Form each into a cone shape with your finger. Fill the cone with the prepared mixture and press the two dampened edges together to seal the top of the cone.
  • Fry the samosa in the heated oil till golden brown. Remove from oil and drain on a paper towel.
