Ingredients
- 1 cup butter
- 1 cup shortening
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 cup confectioners' sugar
- 2 teaspoons vanilla
- 2 eggs
- 4 cups flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon cream of tartar
- 12 teaspoon salt
Method
- Cream butter, shortening, sugar and vanilla until fluffy.
- Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each.
- Combine dry ingredients in separate bowl.
- Gradually add to cream mixture.
- Roll into desired size balls.
- Roll in granulated sugar.
- Place on lightly greased cookie sheet.
- Bake @ 325 for 8-10 minute.
