Ingredients
- 3 c. sugar
- 1/2 c. water
- 3 egg whites
- 2/3 c. Karo syrup (white)
- 1 tsp. vanilla
Method
- Cook sugar, Karo and water until mixture forms a hard ball in cold water.
- Beat egg whites until stiff.
- Pour syrup over egg whites slowly, beating fast.
- When mixture loses some of its gloss, drop by spoonfuls on waxed paper.
- Nuts or candied cherry halves can be added.
