Ingredients

  • 3/4 c. sugar
  • 2 Tbsp. flour
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 2 c. cream
  • 2 eggs, slightly beaten
  • 2 c. cream
  • 1 1/2 Tbsp. vanilla

Method

  • Combine sugar, flour and salt in saucepan.
  • Add 2 cups cream. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly until thickened.
  • Cook 2 additional minutes.
  • Add small amount of hot mixture to eggs, then return all to pan; cook, stirring, 1 minute more.
  • Remove from heat, add remaining 2 cups cream and vanilla.
  • Chill thoroughly.
  • You can add chopped fresh fruit when it goes into the freezer.
