Ingredients
- 1/2 c. Crisco
- 1 1/2 c. sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1 c. mashed ripe bananas
- 2 c. flour
- 1/4 tsp. baking powder
- 3/4 tsp. soda
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/2 c. sour cream or buttermilk
Method
- Cream together the Crisco, sugar and eggs.
- Add the vanilla and bananas.
- Sift together the flour, baking powder, soda and salt.
- Add the flour mixture to the creamed mixture with the sour cream or buttermilk.
- Bake in a tube pan at 350° for 40 minutes. When cool, sprinkle with powdered sugar.
