Ingredients

  • 1 can (15 oz.) salmon
  • 1 egg
  • 1 heaping Tbsp. baking powder
  • 1/2 c. flour, sifted

Method

  • Pour juice off salmon.
  • Set aside.
  • Use fork to mix salmon and egg well.
  • Add flour; mix thoroughly.
  • Mix 1/4 of salmon juice with baking powder.
  • Beat with fork.
  • (This will foam; if doesn't, baking powder is old.)
  • Blend into salmon mixture.
  • Drop by teaspoonfuls into deep fryer 1/2 full of oil. Meat is
  • done when it rises to the top.
  • Drain on paper towels.
