Ingredients
- 1 c. Crisco
- 2 c. sugar
- 4 eggs
- 2 c. cake flour
- 1 c. self-rising flour, sifted 3 times before measuring
- 1 c. milk
- 1 tsp. vanilla
Method
- Cream Crisco, sugar and eggs.
- Sift flours together (two times).
- Put vanilla in milk.
- Combine flour and milk mixtures together a little at a time and beat each time.
- Combine with Crisco, sugar and egg mixture.
- Beat until really smooth.
- Pour into 9-inch cake pans.
- Makes 3 layers.
- Bake at 350° for 25 minutes or until done.
