Ingredients

  • 1 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen peas and carrots
  • 3 Tbsp. butter
  • 1/4 c. flour
  • 1 1/4 c. chicken broth
  • 1 c. milk
  • 1/4 tsp. poultry seasoning
  • 1 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/8 tsp. pepper
  • 2 c. chopped, cooked chicken
  • 1 (2-crust) pkg. refrigerator pie pastry

Method

  • Microwave peas and carrots using package directions.
  • Melt butter in saucepan.
  • Blend in flour.
  • Add chicken broth, milk, poultry seasoning, salt and pepper.
  • Cook until thickened, stirring constantly.
  • Add chicken and peas and carrots.
  • Cook until heated through.
  • Spoon into pastry-lined pie plate.
  • Top with remaining pastry.
  • Trim and seal edge; cut vents.
  • Bake at 400° for 30 minutes or until brown.
