- 1 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen peas and carrots
- 3 Tbsp. butter
- 1/4 c. flour
- 1 1/4 c. chicken broth
- 1 c. milk
- 1/4 tsp. poultry seasoning
- 1 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/8 tsp. pepper
- 2 c. chopped, cooked chicken
- 1 (2-crust) pkg. refrigerator pie pastry
Method
- Microwave peas and carrots using package directions.
- Melt butter in saucepan.
- Blend in flour.
- Add chicken broth, milk, poultry seasoning, salt and pepper.
- Cook until thickened, stirring constantly.
- Add chicken and peas and carrots.
- Cook until heated through.
- Spoon into pastry-lined pie plate.
- Top with remaining pastry.
- Trim and seal edge; cut vents.
- Bake at 400° for 30 minutes or until brown.
- Yield:
- 6 servings.
