Ingredients
- 1/2 lb. green beans
- 4 c. water
- 1 (15 oz.) can Green Giant or Joan of Arc garbanzo beans, drained and rinsed
- 2 c. cooked chicken strips (1/4 x 1/2-inch)
- 1 medium tomato, cubed
- 2/3 c. purchased Italian salad dressing
Method
- Trim green beans; cut diagonally into thirds.
- In a medium saucepan bring water to a boil.
- Add greens; bring water to a second boil.
- Boil 3 minutes.
- Drain; immediately plunge into ice water to chill.
- Drain thoroughly.
- In a large bowl combine green beans, garbanzo beans, chicken and tomato; mix lightly.
- Add dressing; toss lightly.
- Serve immediately or refrigerate until ready to serve.
- Makes 4 one-half cup servings (440 calories).
