Ingredients
- 2 sticks butter or margarine
- 1 c. brown sugar
- 35 saltine crackers
- 1 large pkg. semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1/2 c. chopped nuts
Method
- Preheat oven to 350°.
- Line a cookie sheet with aluminum foil. Arrange crackers, 7 across and 5 down.
- Melt butter with brown sugar, mix and pour over saltines.
- Bake 15 to 20 minutes (will bubble and harden when removed).
- Sprinkle warm toffee with chocolate chips and spread with a spatula when melted.
- Sprinkle with nuts.
- Chill until firm.
- Peel off foil and break into pieces.
