Ingredients

  • Vegetable oil spray
  • 1 pound ground turkey breast
  • 1 small onion, peeled and diced
  • 1 green bell pepper, cored, seeded, deribbed and diced
  • 1 cup dried bread crumbs, preferably whole wheat
  • 1/2 cup, plus 2 tablespoons, tomato sauce
  • 2 egg whites
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • Freshly ground pepper to taste

Method

  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
  • Spray a baking sheet lightly with vegetable oil and set aside.
  • Place all ingredients in a large bowl and use your hands to mix gently until well combined.
  • Shape the turkey mixture into a loaf and place on the baking sheet.
  • Bake until firm to the touch, about 40 minutes.
  • Cut into slices and serve with mashed potatoes and mushroom gravy.
