Ingredients

  • 8 oz. uncooked noodles
  • 1/4 c. shortening
  • 1/2 c. chopped onion
  • 1/4 c. chopped green pepper
  • 2 (10 1/2 oz.) cans Cheddar cheese soup
  • 1 c. milk
  • 2 Tbsp. chopped pimento
  • 2 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 tsp. pepper
  • 2 (6 1/2 to 7 oz.) cans tuna
  • 1 c. bread crumbs

Method

  • Cook noodles; drain.
  • Melt shortening in large skillet; add onion and
  • green
  • pepper
  • and
  • cook until tender.
  • Stir in soup, milk, pimento,
  • salt
  • and pepper.
  • Bring to a boil.
  • Add cooked noodles and flaked tuna.
  • Mix well and put in 1 1/2 or 2 quart casserole. Sprinkle
  • with bread
  • crumbs
  • and bake at 350° for 25 to 30 minutes.
  • Serves 12.
