Ingredients

  • 3/4 c. butter, softened
  • 1/2 c. sugar
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 1 1/2 c. flour
  • 2 Tbsp. raspberry or strawberry preserves
  • confectioners sugar

Method

  • Mix butter and sugar well.
  • Add egg yolk; mix well. Stir in flour by hand on lightly floured surface gently.
  • Knead dough 2 to 3 minutes until thoroughly combined. Roll into 1-inch balls. Place 2-inches apart on greased cookie sheet. Make indention with thumb in center of each; fill with 1/4 teaspoon preserves.
  • Bake at 350° for 13 to 15 minutes. Dust with confectioners sugar.
