Ingredients

  • 1 c. all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 c. sugar
  • 1/2 c. brown sugar
  • 1/2 tsp. baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 c. shortening
  • 1 egg
  • 2 Tbsp. milk
  • 1/2 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 1/2 c. Just Right cereal
  • 1 c. flaked coconut
  • 1 (6 oz.) pkg. chocolate chips

Method

  • Heat oven to 375°.
  • In a large bowl, mix flour, sugars, soda and salt.
  • Add shortening, egg, milk and vanilla.
  • Stir with wooden spoon until well mixed or mix with your hands.
  • Stir in cereal, coconut and chocolate pieces.
  • Drop dough by rounded teaspoonfuls about 2 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheets. Bake 10 minutes.
