Ingredients
- 6 to 8 medium size apples (6 c. sliced)
- 2 Tbsp. lemon juice
- 3/4 c. sugar
- 2 Tbsp. flour
- 3/4 tsp. cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp. nutmeg
- 1/8 tsp. salt
Method
- Slice apples into enough water to cover them.
- Drain off water.
- Sprinkle with lemon juice and set aside.
- Mix remaining ingredients in a saucepan and add apples.
- Bring mixture to a boil, stirring constantly. Pour into prepared pie shell.
- Bake at 450° for 10 minutes.
- Reduce heat to 350° and bake for 40 minutes or until crust is brown.
