Ingredients

  • 1 fresh pineapple
  • 2 lbs. top round steak
  • 1/3 c. cream sherry
  • 1/3 c. honey
  • 1/2 c. soy sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon grnd ginger
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic pwdr
  • 1 green bell pepper
  • 1 pt. cherry tomatoes
  • 8 green onions, cut in 3 inch pcs

Method

  • Peel and cut pineapple into chunks.
  • Pierce steak with fork and cut into 1 1/2 inch cubes.
  • Blend together sherry, honey, soy sauce, ginger and garlic.
  • In tall narrow bowl, combine pineapple and steak and teriyaki sauce, cover and let stand 15 to 20 min.
  • The pineapple will tenderize the meat.
  • Skewer pineapple, steak, bell pepper, tomatoes and onions.
  • Broil 12 min about 6 inches from heat.
  • Baste with teriyaki sauce.
