Ingredients

  • 1 round steak
  • 1 can tomato soup
  • garlic powder
  • 2 c. tomato juice
  • 1 medium chopped onion
  • flour

Method

  • Cut
  • round steak in serving size pieces.
  • Sprinkle both sides of steak with garlic salt and flour.
  • Pound flour into meat
  • with meat
  • hammer
  • or with sharp knife.
  • Fry in hot fat until brown on both sides.
  • Put meat into baking dish.
  • In the pan you
  • fried the meat, add 1 can tomato soup, 2 cups tomato juice
  • and
  • onion; cook until all the drippings of the pan are in the gravy.
  • Pour gravy over the meat and bake at 350° for 1 hour, reduce to 325° and bake until tender.
  • Serves 6.
