Ingredients
- 3 to 4 large sweet potatoes (yams)
- 3/4 c. brown sugar (more or less)
- 1/4 to 1/2 c. butter
- granulated sugar (optional)
- pie crust
Method
- Cook sweet potatoes until soft; mash gently with butter.
- Add brown sugar (to your liking); stir.
- Bake pie crust 5 minutes in a 350° oven.
- Take out of oven; pour in sweet potato mixture and bake 10 to 20 minutes longer.
- Sprinkle sugar on top (optional).
