Ingredients
- 2 eggs
- 2 c. milk
- 4 Tbsp. shortening, melted
- 2 1/2 c. flour
- 3 tsp. baking powder
- 1 tsp. salt
- 2 tsp. sugar
Method
- Beat eggs in mixing bowl.
- Add milk and shortening; mix good. Measure and combine dry ingredients.
- Stir into egg mixture.
- Drop batter by spoonful onto dry, hot griddle or heavy skillet.
- As soon as hot cakes are brown on underside, turn over.
- When puffed, fill with butter or margarine while hot.
- Add syrup or honey on top.
