Ingredients

  • 2 lb. ground chuck
  • 1/2 c. dry bread crumbs
  • 1 large onion, minced
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. Accent
  • 1/2 tsp. garlic powder
  • 1 c. cooked rice
  • 1/2 c. brown sugar
  • 1 tsp. lemon extract
  • 1 1/2 bottles chili sauce
  • 1 (9 oz.) jar grape jelly
  • juice of 1 lemon
  • 1/4 c. water

Method

  • Combine first 10 ingredients and form balls.
  • Put balls into 10 x 15-inch pan.
  • Prepare sauce, using chili sauce, jelly, lemon juice and 1/4 cup water.
  • Pour sauce over balls and bake 1 hour at 325°.
  • Serve in a chafing dish.
