Ingredients
- 1 head cabbage, sliced
- 2 Tbsp. water
- 4 Tbsp. butter
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/2 c. chopped onion
- dash of cayenne pepper
- dash of nutmeg
- 4 Tbsp. vinegar
- 1 Tbsp. sugar
Method
- Soak cabbage for 20 minutes; drain.
- Combine all ingredients, except vinegar and sugar.
- Put in saucepan.
- Cook, covered, 15 to 20 minutes.
- Add vinegar and sugar and cook 5 minutes more.
