Ingredients

  • 3 slices bread, crumbled
  • 1/3 c. milk
  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 1 small onion, grated
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 tsp. pepper
  • dash ground nutmeg
  • 2 Tbsp. Mazola corn oil
  • 1 (7/8 oz.) pkg. brown gravy mix
  • 1/2 c. real mayonnaise

Method

  • Add bread to milk; mix in next 5 ingredients.
  • Shape into 1-inch balls.
  • Chill.
  • Brown meatballs in oil in large skillet. Prepare gravy mix according to directions using 1 1/4 cups water. Blend in mayonnaise.
  • Add meatballs and heat.
  • Makes about 45 meatballs.
