Ingredients
- 3 slices bread, crumbled
- 1 egg
- 1/3 c. milk
- 1 lb. hamburger
- 1 small onion, chopped fine
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. pepper
- dash of ground nutmeg
- 2 Tbsp. corn oil
- 1 (7/8 oz.) pkg. brown gravy
- 1/2 c. Hellmann's mayonnaise
Method
- Add egg, bread and milk.
- Mix in next 5 ingredients.
- Shape into 1-inch balls.
- Roll in flour and brown in oil in large skillet.
- Prepare gravy according to directions on package, blend in mayonnaise.
- Add to meatballs, heat and serve.
- Makes about 40 meatballs.
