Ingredients

  • 3 slices bread, crumbled
  • 1 egg
  • 1/3 c. milk
  • 1 lb. hamburger
  • 1 small onion, chopped fine
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 tsp. pepper
  • dash of ground nutmeg
  • 2 Tbsp. corn oil
  • 1 (7/8 oz.) pkg. brown gravy
  • 1/2 c. Hellmann's mayonnaise

Method

  • Add egg, bread and milk.
  • Mix in next 5 ingredients.
  • Shape into 1-inch balls.
  • Roll in flour and brown in oil in large skillet.
  • Prepare gravy according to directions on package, blend in mayonnaise.
  • Add to meatballs, heat and serve.
  • Makes about 40 meatballs.
