Ingredients

  • 3 mashed bananas
  • 1/2 c. butter
  • 1 c. sour cream
  • 2 tsp. vanilla
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 1/2 c. sugar or to taste
  • 3 c. flour (some prefer only 2)
  • 1 tsp. baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 3 c. powdered sugar
  • 3 Tbsp. butter
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 Tbsp. milk
  • 1/2 c. chopped walnuts or pecans

Method

  • Mix together the first 9 ingredients and bake for 25 to 30 minutes at 350°
  • in a greased and floured jelly roll pan (with sides).
  • When cake is almost cool, mix together the last 5 ingredients and spread over the banana bar cake.
