Ingredients

  • 1 lb thinly sliced Deli Roast Beef
  • 3 cans of beef broth
  • 8 hoagie buns
  • 1 pkg sliced cheddar or swiss cheese
  • 1 can sliced mushrooms
  • 1 green pepper
  • 1/2 stick of butter
  • 1/2 tsp thyme
  • salt, pepper, garlic to taste

Method

  • Bring broth, salt, pepper, garlic, and thyme to boil.
  • Add roast beef to boiling broth.
  • Saute sliced green pepper, mushrooms, butter, and garlic.
  • When the roast beef is "wrinkled" it is ready.
  • Remove roast beef from the broth and place on an open hoagie bun.
  • Cover with cheese and place in broiler until lightly toasted.
  • Remove, add sauteed mixture, close hoagie bun, and place in broiler to toast top. (This only takes a few seconds)
  • Dip the hoagie sandwiches in the beef broth and enjoy!
