Ingredients
- 1 (6 oz.) can frozen apple juice concentrate
- 1 Tbsp. oleo
- 2 Tbsp. cornstarch
- 1/4 tsp. nutmeg
- 1 tsp. cinnamon
- 6 c. peeled and sliced apples (firm for baking)
- pastry for 2 pie crust
Method
- Bring apple juice to a boil (stove or microwave).
- Combine cornstarch, spices and oleo.
- Add juice slowly to mixture, blending.
- Pour over apples.
- Stir to coat.
- Pour into unbaked pie shell.
- Place top crust over apples.
- Bake at 425° for about 30 minutes.
- Reduce temperature to 375°.
- Bake 30 more minutes.
