Ingredients
- 2 sticks margarine or butter
- 1/2 c. Crisco
- 3 c. sugar
- 5 egg
- 3 c. plain flour
- 1/2 c. cocoa
- 1/2 tsp. baking powder
- 1 c. milk
- 1 oz. red food coloring
- 1 tsp. vanilla flavoring
Method
- Cream sugar, margarine and Crisco.
- Mix flour, cocoa and baking powder together.
- Add eggs into sugar, margarine and Crisco, one at a time.
- Add flour and milk to mixture, beginning and ending with flour.
- Add flavoring.
- Pour into pan. Bake 1 1/2 to 2 hours at 350°, usually 2 hours.
