Ingredients
- 3/4 c. butter
- 1 1/2 c. diced onion
- 1 c. diced celery
- 1 lb. bulk sausage
- 2 pkg. cornbread stuffing mix
- 2 c. diced apples
- 1/2 c. chopped parsley
- 1 tsp. sage
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 1 tsp. ground pepper
Method
- In large skillet, melt butter on medium heat.
- Add onions and celery; saute 5 minutes.
- Place in large bowl.
- Cook sausage until done (10 minutes).
- Add to vegetables in bowl.
- Stir in stuffing and remaining ingredients, including eggs.
- Bake at 350° about 1/2 hour or until all ingredients are thoroughly hot in a baking dish.
