Ingredients

  • 3/4 c. butter
  • 1 1/2 c. diced onion
  • 1 c. diced celery
  • 1 lb. bulk sausage
  • 2 pkg. cornbread stuffing mix
  • 2 c. diced apples
  • 1/2 c. chopped parsley
  • 1 tsp. sage
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 1 tsp. ground pepper

Method

  • In large skillet, melt butter on medium heat.
  • Add onions and celery; saute 5 minutes.
  • Place in large bowl.
  • Cook sausage until done (10 minutes).
  • Add to vegetables in bowl.
  • Stir in stuffing and remaining ingredients, including eggs.
  • Bake at 350° about 1/2 hour or until all ingredients are thoroughly hot in a baking dish.
