Ingredients

  • 6 medium size peppers
  • 4 qt. water
  • 2 c. rice (4 c. cooked)
  • 2 tsp. margarine for rice
  • 1 1/2 lb. ground chuck
  • 1 (15 oz.) tomato sauce
  • salt to taste

Method

  • Boil 4 quarts water. Wash and core peppers. Put peppers in boiling water for about 2 minutes. Brown ground chuck; drain off grease. Add cooked rice and tomato sauce; simmer for 5 minutes. Drain peppers; put in baking dish and fill with rice mixture. If any left over, put around peppers.
  • Bake at 350° for 45 minutes to 1 hour.
