Ingredients

  • 1/2 c. chopped celery
  • 1/2 c. chopped bell pepper
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 small bunch shallots, minced with tops
  • 1/2 stick margarine
  • 1 lb. crab meat
  • 2 c. moistened French bread
  • 2 Tbsp. chopped parsley
  • 1 to 2 eggs
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • dash of Tabasco sauce
  • buttered bread crumbs

Method

  • Saute celery, onion, pepper and garlic in butter.
  • Add moistened bread, crab meat, parsley and egg.
  • Add seasonings. Fill aluminum crab shells.
  • Sprinkle tops with crumbs.
  • Bake at 350° until lightly browned, approximately 15 minutes.
