Ingredients

  • 3 lb. ground beef
  • 1 c. long grain uncooked rice
  • 1 large or 2 medium onions, sauteed in margarine
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 15 oz. can tomato sauce
  • 2 medium or 1 large head of cabbage

Method

  • Cook rice about half done.
  • Take a knife and cut down toward center of cabbage and around core of cabbage.
  • Put into large pot, about 1/2 or 3/4 full of water.
  • Bring to a simmer.
  • Start taking leaves off and put on side to cool.
  • Saute onions until they start to get tender.
