- 5 bell peppers
- 1 lb. hamburger
- 1/4 c. chopped celery
- 1 c. rice
- 1/3 c. ketchup
- 1 egg
- garlic to taste
- 2 Tbsp. chopped onion
- 1 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
- 1/4 tsp. dried basil leaves
- 1 tsp. sugar
- 1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
- dash of pepper and salt
Method
- Cut the bell peppers.
- Mix hamburger, celery, rice, ketchup, onion, Worcestershire sauce, salt, garlic powder, pepper and egg. Fill peppers with meat mixture.
- Place in square baking dish.
- Mix tomato sauce, sugar and basil in 2 cup glass measure.
- Boil 2 to 3 minutes.
- Serve sauce over peppers.
