Ingredients

  • 1 strawberry cake mix
  • 3 Tbsp. cornstarch
  • 1 Tbsp. red food coloring
  • 2 pt. strawberries
  • 1 (10 oz.) bottle 7-Up
  • 1 1/2 c. sugar
  • 1 (16 oz.) bowl Cool Whip

Method

  • Prepare cake according to directions.
  • Bake in two 9-inch pans for 30 minutes at 350°.
  • Cool and split cakes into halves.
  • Cook 7-Up, cornstarch, sugar and food coloring until thick, like pudding.
  • Slice strawberries and pour mixture over berries; cool. Put Cool Whip and mixture over cake.
