Ingredients
- 3 c. cut up rhubarb
- 1 pt. strawberries
- 1 1/2 to 2 c. sugar
- 1/2 c. water
- 2 c. flour
- 3 tsp. baking powder
- 1 tsp. salt
- 2 Tbsp. sugar
- 1/3 c. vegetable oil
- 2/3 c. milk
Method
- Mix berries, rhubarb, sugar and water in a square pan; cook for 5 minutes. Measure flour. Mix flour, baking powder, salt and 2 tablespoons sugar. Stir in oil and milk only until ingredients are moistened. Drop by spoonful on hot fruit; makes 9 `biscuits.' Make hole in top of each, putting a `dab' butter, sugar and cinnamon in each.
